VX-702 is a second-generation, orally active mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) p38 inhibitor.  It is being tested for the potential treatment of inflammation, rheumatoid arthritis and cardiovascular diseases.  Ding, C.  "Drug evaluation: VX-702, a MAP kinase inhibitor for rheumatoid arthritis and acute coronary syndrome."  Curr.
