Forskolin is a naturally occurring diterpene from the Indian plant, Coleus forskohlii, that works as an activator of adenylate cyclase resulting in an increase in the intracellular concentration of cAMP.  Laurenza, A., et al.  "Forskolin: a specific stimulator of adenylyl cyclase or a diterpene with multiple sites of action?"  Trends Pharm.
