Lab-Lemco is a meat extract made from specially selected raw materials, adjusted to neutrality and dried to a fine powder. The product has considerable advantages over conventional meat extracts. Being a refined and clarified extract it can be used with other refined ingredients to make culture media which require no filtration. Being only slightly hygroscopic this product is very easy to handle. Its use eliminates the troublesome procedures associated with handling conventional meat extracts which have a paste-like consistency.
It will enhance the growth of many bacteria and is therefore incorporated into a wide range of culture media as a solid foundation material.
