Description: The 14-4-4S monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse and rat major histocompatibility complex class II, I-E subregion-encoded glycoprotein in mice strains of H-2k, H-2d, H-2p and H-2r. H-2b, H-2f and H-2s haplotypes do not express the I-E antigen. MHC class II is present on B cells, monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. The 14-4-4S mAb has been reported to block antigen presentation in in vitro assays. This antibody cross-reacts with rat.
