分子量：相对分子质量13000～15000

性状：一种水解核糖核酸的酶。商品为白色结晶或冻干粉末,也有50%甘油的稠状溶液。对湿敏感。极易溶于水。酶反应：专一地催化核糖核酸的核糖部分3′和5′磷酸二酯键的裂开,形成具有2′,3′-环一磷酸衍生物寡聚核苷酸。水溶液在25℃以下相当稳定,*大稳定范围pH 2～4.5。*适pH 7.7。*适温度65℃。等电点(pI)7.8。比旋光度 [α]25D-0.47°(以每mG氮计,c=5,水中)。抑制剂有0.0005mol/L镁(MG2+)、脱氧核糖核酸(竞争性抑制剂)、变性脱氧核糖核酸(比天然的更有效)。

用途：生化研究,测定核酸的结构,脱氧核糖核酸和核糖核酸的降解。核糖核酸酶 A （Ribonuclease A）来源于牛胰，为高度专一性核酸内切酶，可特异攻击 RNA 上嘧啶核苷酸的C′3上的磷酸根和相邻核苷酸的C′5之间的键，产物为3′嘧啶单核苷酸或以3′嘧啶核苷酸结尾的低聚核苷酸。可除去 DNA:RNA或RNA:RNA杂合体中未杂交的 RNA 区;可用来确定 DNA 或 RNA 中单碱基突变的位置, 用标记了的RNA探针与待检含单碱基置换的DNA或RNA退火,RNA：RNA或RNA：DNA中的错配碱基可被RNaseA切割。广泛用来去除 DNA 样品中的 RNA 。

溶液配制：将RNase A溶解在0.001mol/l醋酸钠(ph5.2)中,使终浓度为10mg/ml,加热到100°C,15min.室温下缓慢冷却,用0.1体积的1M的Tris-Cl调整pH至7.4后,小管分装保存在-20°C.

Pancreatic RNase A specifically cleaves at the 3′-side of pyrimidine (uracil or cytosine) phosphate bonds. Ribonucleases do not hydrolyze DNA, because the DNA lacks 2′-OH groups essential for the formation of cyclic intermediates. RNase can also hydrolyze RNA from protein samples.
